Cape Breton, is called “Unama’ki” by our Mi’kmaq First Nation communities, “Île du Cap-Breton” by our French Acadian communities, and “Eilean Cheap Bhreatainn” by our Gaelic communities. We welcome all visitors to our Island. Some visitors arrive by land, and drive across our iconic Canso Causeway. Some visitors sail here by sea, docking at our many ports. Some arrive by air, landing at one of our major airports in Port Hastings or Sydney.
No matter how you arrive, we invite you to visit, to return as many times as you like with friends and family, and maybe even make Cape Breton your forever home some day. Learn more about Cape Breton Island.
